Best Registry Cleaner?

What is the best Registry Cleaner nowadays?

I have tried CCleaner and while it seems to be amongst the safes, it doesn't really remove all the bad registry entries..

I tried Wise Registry Cleaner which was highly recommended on Wilder Security Forums but I think it messed up my Notebook once...not too sue if it was because of it or something else

Just want to get some ideas here

I don't mind paying for a quality app so we are not restricted to FREE app recommendations here

Please share your honest/unbiased opinion

I've used CCleaner for years and years and I've never had an issue with it, either on XP, Vista, and now for over 2 years on Win 7

The average program that claims to speed up your computer says YOU HAVE 1,507 REGISTRY ERRORS!!1! And when you go to uninstall it, it says "Are you sure you want to remove it when there are still this many errors?" (when it's been on the computer for months claiming to be fixing problems), "But wait, there's more! You can get six months' free usage by clicking here!"... Hmm.

The other one I saw that made me laugh was a driver update program I saw that was informing the user that their mouse and monitor drivers were out of date and this was causing problems.

you wanna clean your registry? type regedit and clean every entry yourself everytime you remove or uninstall a program.

Or back it up first before you install something.

i know its very tedious.

a good solution if you have time is to format your main drive every year or use a ghost image you have of a fresh install.

Format every year?? LOL

I am not joking but I think I am sick...I format almost every 2 days...if I feel there is a small glitch...I format...if there are a few program updates...I format...help!! MEEEDICCC!! 🙁

Can't be true, dumbest thing I've ever heard of. 😱

IMHO only time you should format is when your computer is:

  • infected with a nasty virus

  • windows crashing alot (i mean alot of times)

  • if you installed program and uninstalled them frequently. (registry gets clogged up and leftover data)

  • Deleted a system file
if none of these error happen no need to format you can fix it manually or by a simple reboot

nobody has mentioned [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Eusing Free Registry Cleaner its good has been using it for a long time on XP machines i say its better then ccleaner when it comes to cleaning
