Best recording bitrate at 1080p?

I feel like messing around with AMD's Relive video capture software. I'll be recording at 1080p, and my question is -- would there be any benefit from increasing the bitrate, or is the default 30 Mbps all I need at 1080p?
 
That bitrate seems a little on the high side to me but at 1080p the quality would be fantastic if a little unnecessary. I'm assuming you are intending to capture gaming so maybe try 10 or even 15 mbps and see how that looks. If that is unacceptable then I would recommend slowly increasing it until you find the perfect balance between quality and file size.
