Silverstone 460 w/ active PFC. If it will fit in a normal mid-tower case then this is enough power for it.

A Seasonic ST400 can handle that config no problems.

Though you might need something beefier if in the future you plan to SLI, add more HDs or optical drives.

this is running my 3200+, a8n-sli deluxe, 6600GT with no problems and is very stable. this psu can not be beat for the price. the 12v rail can handle dual 6800 ultras in sli.

Either the seasonic (ST400 or S12) , forton or enermax noisetaker.
 
I'd vote for the Coolermaster Real Power 450W, just because I have one, and its definately nice and quiet, with great power and looks.
 
I have the Seasonic Power supply you are looking at. It is very quiet.

I previously had an enermax whisper that i had modified and put on a fan controller, and the ST is much quieter than it was.

Directron has Rev A3's as that is where i got mine.

It is really efficient, so it should handle your specs plus a few hard drives.
 
I second beatle's motion to mod the fans. Cheaper than buying a new one plus you already have a quality PSU. No point in tossing it out.
 
Modding that Fortron with a quieter fan means using a slower fan.

Slower fan means less ventilation.

Less ventilation means more heat buildup inside the case and PSU.

Higher heat may lead to premature PSU failure, and maybe take a few other components with it as it dies. And void the PSU's warranty to boot.

Doesn't look like a good idea to me.

A much better option: Sell that Fortron, and use the recovered funds towards buying a PSU designed from the ground up to run quiet AND cool, something with a 120mm fan and large-area honeycomb grille in the back, like the Seasonic Super Tornado 400.
