Best Putty Knife to Open Up a Mac Mini?

I've already done a google search and read the general recommendation that I should use the thinnest and most flexible putty knife to open the Mac Mini.

Is there any particular brand and model, readily available at Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart, that others particularly recommend, though?

I just did this earlier today. Don't sweat it, it is not really that hard. Look in the paint department for a thin scraper. Having two is even better. I used one that was 3 inches wide, and one that was about 1.5 inches wide. No brand on them, something cheap.

A regular putty knife is fine, but you're supposed to thin it down with fine-grit sandpaper.

Same as Batti. When I had my MacMini I just used two putty knives that were around 3" wide, and as thin as possible. Just don't go too fast, and you should be fine.

Putty knives aren't the best. Use a pizza cutter (round blade) and a thick plastic credit card. Takes me less than 10 seconds to get the case off.

Not all putty knives are the same. Go to the paint section at your local hardware store to compare them. You'll want the one that has the thinnest and most flexible blade. The blade should be about 2" wide. The Goodell flex 2" knife is a good one. IT should cost no more than $3 or $4.

Is that Goodell 2" flex tape knife typically stocked by Home Depot or Lowes?

I got it at Home Depot about 2 years ago. I'm not sure if they still stock it. Just look for the thinnest, most flexible 2" knife.
