I only use Antec and Enermax....

I can say avoid generics, ive lost more generic PSUs than other part in a PC. And when a PSU dies, he likes to take friends with him.

Link.

Very solid, very tight specs, fairly noisy, and very expensive.

I know you said low priced, but check them out, just in case.

Thermaltake, Enlight, and HighPower 420W power supplies are inexpensive and perform very well. They are all made by HighPower (HPC-420 label). You can find them for around $50 shipped.

I've had a strange experience recently. Went from an Antec 350w that came with my antec case to an Antec True Power 430W because of suspected power problems and random reboots. Now, my voltages as monitored by two different programs are lower by a tenth or two on the 5v (~4.8 now)and 12v (~11.6 now) rails. Is this something to be concerned with? Perhaps I can open up the PS and tweak them a little higher?

BTW, my system is nothing that should be loading down a 430W PS...I think.

I'm an Antec fan... never seem to have a problem when dealing with these... I've also NEVER had one go on me.

thanx, can you explain the crap about peak output? and would 350W be enough for an OC?
