I am going to best buy and buying some new ps3 games.I have a new system coming on thursday and I want to be ready when it arrives.

So far I have the following down to get

Little big planet (for me and my daughter)
FNR3
GTA 4

I dont like cod waw but COD MW is still so expensive.I dont know if there is still alot of people playing it or not.

Also what other games should I look into?
I dont know what games are good so I am asking you
 
GTA4's engine is fantastic but the eastern european story and mini games are boring. I look forward to the downloadable content because it seems like a better story.
 
There's a 20% off coupon for used PS3 games for gamestop this week. If you have an edge card, get another 10% off. Pretty good deal. LBP would be like $38ish
 
First things first...Create a PSN account and download Wipeout HD ASAP!

You can add songs to the PS3 hard drive and make a custom soundtrack for the game. Download a few old Prodigy songs (Hot Ride, Voodoo People, Spitfire, etc) and throw your own favorites on as well.

Nothing beats it. 😉

Oh, and make sure you buy HD cables for it...either component or HDMI. If you use the default cable, you'll be stuck playing games in 480i when they were designed for glorious 1080P.

personally i would pass on FNR3. the game get's stale very quick.

and I'd go SR2 over GTA4 anyday as well.

Wipeout HD FTW! Buy the HDMI or Component cables off of Monoprice.com for HD resolutions. Prodigy - Smack my bi*ch up!

Other Games:

Heavenly Sword - Short but awesome, so you might consider just renting this for a week.
Ratchet and Clank
Fallout 3 if you haven't played it yet
Motorstorm - I like it and you should be able to get it for $20 or less from Gamestop.
Overlord - Personal favorite and should be cheap at Gamestop also.
Folklore - Fun and interesting game, but takes a lot of time investment.

Downloads - Tekken Dark Resurrection, Wipeout HD, Castlevania SOTN
