Best PS2 RPGs

I've played FF X, FF X-2, DQ8, and Xenosaga.

What else is good? FF XI isn't appealing.

Legaia2: Duel Saga was pretty good. Shadow Hearts is supposed to be good.

I thought Star Ocean 3 was boring. I quit very early on.

If you like action RPG's, Kingdom Hearts and Dark Cloud 2.


I never played any of the .Hack titles so I don't know how those are.

I loved Star Ocean 3. Great music, characters, plot, gameplay, extras. I highly recommend it; CalvinHobbes is missing out.
Radiata Stories also seems really great, but I'm too cheap to buy anything right now.
Magna Carta also seems very good.

Sadly PS2 was really lacking in RPGs compared to the plethora that PS1 had.

not the best RPG lineup with this generation of consoles.

I hear good things about Star Ocean 3. I have it, but I just can't seem to get myself to play it. If you wanna buy it from me, send a PM!

I can't believe I forgot Disegea, that's another game I'm going to get when I get some money.

PS2 will be going out with a bang for RPG fans I'd say.

Kingdom Hearts 2
Xenosaga 3 (Hey it might be good)
Suikoden 5
Phantasy Star Trilogy (Improved graphics/sound versions of the classics)
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerebus (Like Xenosaga 3, it could be good)

and of course the game I orgasmed after reading about it:
Valkyrie Profile 2
If it's not translated to English I'm killing everyone.

EDIT: And no thanks Steven, I have a copy of SO3. It's such a great game. It's like Xenogears, it takes a while to get into it, but once you do it's great. (No, it's not as good as Xenogears, but nothing is)

You can play the PS remake of FF VI. That's probably the best one.

Shadow Hearts From the New World

This isn't a list of all thats out there, just the ones that I really enjoyed out of the bunch. These are games I enjoyed more than say, FFX / etc.
