Well he could be a switch hitter, in which case maybe only switch hitters should tell him which way to bat this time.

you should be careful about your tuna consumption.
The have been FDA warnings about mercury levels in tuna being such that it is recommended that you eat generally no more than one "serving" of tuna per week, and i believe pregnant women are recommended not to eat tuna at all. you should check this out before you go hog wild eating gobs of tuna.. do a google search on tuna, mercury, fda..

That Tuna warnignis one of the reasons that I am really wanting a good protein shake... Whyis there so much mercury in TUna?

<< Whyis there so much mercury in TUna? >>

Because humans have dumped so much industrial waste that contained mercury into the oceans. Mecury is one of the toxins that concentrates as it moves up the food chain.

1 tablespoon of light peanut butter contains 77 calories, 2.2g of protein, 4.8g of fat, and 6.2g of carbohydrates.

Fat in low-moderate amounts is healthy...

Most Americans get plenty of protein. Actually, most americans get too much protein. It can be hard on your kidneys.

As for your question, plant-source proteins are better for you and easier for your body to process than animal-based proteins, not to mention that you're going to be getting a lot of other vitamins, minerals and substances like isoflavones if you get your protein from the plant kingdom.

I don't want to start a flame war or anything, but from what I've learned while researching food and diet, meat(mainly talking about pork and beef, but chicken isn't that much better) isn't really actually very good for you. Especially with all the hormones and antibiotics they pump the poor animals full of. It's just not a good deal. Meat has a lot of calories, fat, protein, iron and that's about it.

Cooked food is dead food and dead food isn't good for you. That's basically what it boils down to. You can't go to a place like GNC and expect to fulfull your dietary needs. Maybe in another 50 years, but not right now. Don't you think your body can tell the difference between megadoses of synthetic vitamins, and the real thing? There are over 600 known compounds in an orange. Are you going to try and pop 600 pills, or just eat the orange? 🙂

If you really want to try and better yourself, forget about the protein shake and eat a kiwi. 😀

Every brand of natural peanut butter I have found has 16 grams.. where can Ik get some that ddoesnt

As far as getting enough protein.. no, you need more if you are building.....

Ive done enough research and I respect your opinion. Im going to go ahead and go with what I have learned in other places.

Hmm... so I guess you are referring to soy bean based products such as tofu? But I like the taste of meat better 😛!

Yeah, all soy milk isn't bad.. you just have to find a good brand.

Not really. There are plenty of other things besides soy.

The good thing about soy protein is that it is complete, it has all 8 essential amino acids.

But nuts and seeds are excellent sources of protein.

If you really want to do a body good, forget the milk and start juicing. Do some research on Wheat Grass, it's really some amazing stuff. 🙂
