Best Programming languages to learn in order?

Damn, I was gunna say read me. Oh well, try Perl. I hear it's a nice little language, plus you can make some CGI-script stuff :p

If I were you, I'd become a C and C++ master. Focus your activities there. Maybe throw in Python, and for sure learn at least the basics of Perl.

I know all of them, but my C (and really C++) skills are rusty.

No, it doesn't. If they gave it its own forum, I'd gladly post there, but what's the point of posting there in the middle of a bunch of gaming threads? I don't see how that's any better than posting it in OT...

No, it doesn't. If they gave it it's own forum, I'd gladlyu post ther,e but what'sthe point of posting there in the middle of a bunch of gaming threads? I don't see how that's any better than psoting it in OT...

hmm, i never thought about that, but i guess you're right. although nielsen's book is more geared towards practical usage of the web, whereas the other one is more or less for fun :)
