Best Program for watching DVD's in Surround Sound.

What do you guys use?

PowerDVD, WinDVD, other? Maybe WMP? (I like WMP but it seems to not allow for dragging the timeline to get to a certain spot)

I've long used a free version of PowerDVD but the new free version I got with my X800 GPU seems very crippled... if I set it to 6 speakers it doesn't seem to be in 5.1 mode.

Media Player Classic and VLC players are good and are free. I have MPC and it works pretty well for me, though I use the decoders on my Audigy 2 ZS rather than the ones built into MPC.

The OEM 2-channel version or such shan't do the trick and it is of dubious value to upgrade. MPC includes decoders and for basic 5.1 it shouldn't make much difference (as opposed to downmixing to stereo or mock surround). MPC can also utilize commercial decoders such as Cyberlink's when available. I have not used VLC in awhile so can't really comment but it is worth checking out. I do recall a number of years ago that it was the only player to bypass MacroVision for taping movies.
