Best program for playing MTG?

If it's free to play with other players on the net, I wouldn't mind signing up for one.

Kinda stupid tho purchasing online cards I think.
 
Check out Apprentice, will need to hop in IRC to find players as there is no built in multi-player client type deal. Can get the oracle set for all the cards as well, best one I found.

So what does Apprentice basically do? Accepts the oracle set of cards, connects you to another player via ip, and then takes care of the card handling? Or do you get spiffy graphics when you play certain cards?
