Best program for monitoring temps

I put together a quad build yesterday with Q6600 and I was wondering what the best program would be for monitoring temps. I'm currently using speedfan and the temps vary from 17-27 idle at stock with Tuniq Tower + AS5. The ambient is probably 22-23. Are these good temps and is it accurate? Thanks.

For some reason Core-temp won't work. I get an error saying something about wrong drivers or drivers failing to initialize.

When you're booting into windows, press f8 till you get a screen with selections, select the one that says disable driver signatures then it'll boot into windows. Run coretemp then as run as administrator and it should work. I also use speedfan occasionally.

Thanks a bunch! Does booting with disabled driver signatures have any negative repercussions? Also, I'm running my Quad @ 3.0 9x333 and Coretemp shows temperatures ranging from 39-47 (idle and load). How does that sound?

Speedfan is reporting your core temps 15c lower than they actualy are, there is an offset in the settings that you can use to correct this. It reads the Tjunction as 85c when it's actualy 100c. I couldn't get core temp working in Vista, even after disabling driver signing.

That's funny, cause I tried that myself and I am not getting into the selection screen. It goes right into windows without stopping at that screen.
