<< I'll put in a vote for the HP 932C. Excellent text and graphics output, the ink cartridges last forever, and it's reasonably fast. It retails for about $200. It's kinda funny how this little $200 printer mops the floor with the 4-year-old HP 870Cse I use. I paid $400 for that stinkin thing back in '97. I don't regret it though, because it still works great and has never let me down. >>
I have an 870Cse too, and I paid $500 for it. 😉 I actually did have a problem with it (can't remember what it was though), and HP sent a refurbished model as a replacement. The replacement was defective, so they sent another refurbished as a replacement. It was annoying having the problem, but each time they sent me a printer they also sent a b/w and color cartridge, so I got over $100 of ink out of my problem. 😀 The final replacement printer I got has been working fine for over the last 3 years (knocks on wood), and I hope it lasts for at least another 2.
