Yeah, you want to brag that you have one on the list? ;)

Just kidding. Well, considering 4 stars out of 5 is a lot more than 1 star or even none (which were given to a few PSUs), I'd say those are good. Thing is though, I wouldn't ignore the fact those 4, 4 and a half or 5 stars out of 5 were given to SOME PSUs and not all of them sometimes from the same brand. Antec makes a lot of PSUs for example and not all of them made the cut if you will.

One thing I haven't investigated yet is exactly what kind of connectors does each PSU have. I mean, a 20+4 main connector will work with both 20 pin (old ones) and new 24 pin motherboards. Also, the new high end ATI video cards require an 8 pin connector. I guess I'll try looking into the details of the ones mentioned in the second post when I have the time. Too bad I didn't see any PC Power & Cooling. Maybe later on I'll try to add some brands that were not tested on that web site but tested elsewhere.

No, absolutely not. That's the one brand I could think of off the top of my head that I wanted to list. I thought I mentioned it but perhaps forgot. (Just looked quickly, I didn't see that.)

Anywhoo, matbe.com didn't review them in that 105 PSU review and I don't know why.
I thought of looking at other reviews so I could add them to my list.

I just got a new job and I'm tired right now the heat is crushing me. I don't know when I'll take the time to do that.

But, I'd like to say that without doing exhaustive research, I did kind of put my favorite 4 in the second or third post (I mean the one with Canadian links). And I would rate them in the order they appear.

Like I said, I don't know where on that list if I did add PC Power & Cooling where they would fit. Another thing I find confusing is I thought they were bought out or something. That would mean the acquirer's PSUs could be better perhaps. We don't know how their lineups will change yet.

Keep in mind though that I didn't even mention which ones were single or dual 12V rail. If some of you remember, there were some tests with Crossfire and SLI where some older models dual rails had failed some tests. Some came to the conclusion that a beefy single rail would be better than two weeker rails.

Well, like I said, all I did was do searches for people for better prices for the PSUs rated 4 stars out of 5 or higher from matbe.com I think this vastly narrows down the work for other people who thought about doing the same.

I did this because I wasn't totally satisfied with my Fortron Blue Storm II (fan that rattles a litttle and some short cables, one which required an extension I had to order). I guess without doing that much research, I was kind of leaning towards the Zalman but I'm intrigued by the Corsair but it's more expensive.

np hey thanks for your work anyway! OCZ bought PC Power and Cooling, but the lineups are not changing overnight. They still make PC P&C 1KW-SR and the Turbo cools, and 750W Silencers, etc. The names may eventually blend, but I don't expect the quality of either brand to change very soon.

The names will not Blend at all!!
Sorry to inform you!!
basically PC Power & Cooling is a subdivion of OCZ!!
OCZ is using the expertize of PC Power & Cooling to raise the PSU`s to the next level....

I would say in m,aybe 3-5 years they might blend or something..but not immediately!!

Never heard of Froogle? The Silverstone 40 and 50EF are similar to the Enhance 5140GH and 5150GH all are made by Enhance and you can generally find the best price at eWiz.com and you sometimes get a better deal going to eWiz from froogle or pricewatch.

I know you're not talking to me because I have the 5150GH on my list, with a link to eWiz as well as the SilverStone Element 500W with a link to DeadEye Data which comes out cheaper when you use the JONNYGURU coupon code.

I'm not refusing to talk to anyone. lol

I've been researching the BIOS on my main computer. And now I'm about to flash the BIOS. But, I decided to do research on the BIOS of my backup computer. So, I don't have much time right now. Duh, I'm using up vacation time to do this work so I'll have more free time when I'm working. Heh.

I'll restate what I've already said. I simply looked at the review on the French web site. I'm certainly not the one who wrote the article. lol
