Best PPPoE router solution

I wired up a frathouse with ethernet(28ports), and setup a server to share a dsl connection. At the time, they had a bridged dsl connection. This worked great.

However, for complicated reasons, the dsl connection was cancelled by accident, and when they reconnected, they were switched to a PPPoE connection, aka dialup ethernet.

What I need to know is what works best with PPPoE. Should I stick to a pc-based server, or are those Linksys, SMC, etc. routers any good? And if so, which one is the best? Firewall is not a big concern, in fact is not wanted, because all they do with it is play net games.

Thanks

I have been having problems with the Linksys router, that's exactly why I'm asking. So does the Netgear work well with PPPoE specifically? Does anyone have experience with the SMC? I figure since it has a printer port, it makes it a bit more worthwhile, as well as a serial port for a backup dialup connection.

The linksys can work with PPPoE but you have to download a firmware update, the netgear is ready for go for PPPoE but is a little more expensive.
