Asia De Cuba in the Mandrian Hotel.

Also the most expensive meal I've ever paid for. $165 for two people, but the food was great, the atmosphere was great and the desert was FVCKING HUGE. I was able to eat the left overs over the next two days.

I took a GF to London for the Millenium celebrations. That was pretty good.

Probably Steamer's Grill, outside of Houghton, MI. Used to be the Summer Place. It burned down though.

It was nice, the only time in the middle of winter in the U.P. in a restaurant that I ever saw that there weren't stinky drunk snowmobilers and flannel and Packer jackets as the primary attire.

I bought a suit (my first), dozen roses, and a pair of diamond earrings for Valentine's day. Along with the reservation for the restaurant.

It was a surprise for her because it was actually a few days after Valentine's.

best date I ever had was at the beach, in the fall. it was cold and overcast, but the beach town was almost totally empty and it was really romantic :) plus, having to get close in order to stay warm is always a good thing.
