Best Place to order custom business cards from?

purbeast0

No Lifer
I searched on google and came up with a buncha places. Just wondering if people have had experiences. I'm looking to get like around 200 or so cards of a custom design that I will make or have someone make for me.

Thanks for any input.

Forget all about buying on the web for cheap.

Go for face time with your friendly local printer. Walk in and look through their paper, ink & style sample books (under both their lighting and outside in sunshine), buy extremely top quality paper, get it right.

Forget the $, get absolute top quality, the card is your "face" in your absence. TOP q u a l i t y quality QUALITY.

Absolute best quality. <= Remember that!

That is also true. I will be around this weekend to check out some stuff as well, however I do not know many stores that do this type of stuff.

Does Kinkos do this? There are a few near me.

We always use http://www.vistaprint.com

Sign up with them and they email you huge deals every week. Service is really fast as well. Plus you can just use their templates or you can upload your own. And they are the cheapest you'll find most places.

EDIT:

Too funny. As I'm typing this my Gmail Notifier goes off...

My wife orders from them all the time for her business she runs. I have some for myself that I use as well. They are great. I have the free template ones so they have a vistaprint.com logo on the back. Wife's are the premium ones and she uploaded her own and is very happy with them.

WHen you go through ordering it gives you a preview so you can see what it will look like and all that stuff.

I could ask her to scan one in and I could post it if you tihnk that'd help for whatever reason.

While I totally agree with you, sometimes people don't have the luxury of getting the best you can. If I had to choose between getting 100 PERFECT quality business cards and 500 good to "better than good" quality cards, I'd take 500.

Purbeast0: Kinko's sucks. At everything. Go to someone in the area and ask them if they can do a few for you to test before you order and see what you get.

I'm definitely willing to take this route, however I just do not know the names of any places in my area that do this.

Is it better to get them from a mom/pop type print shop? Or at a commercial place (like kinkos but not kinkos)?

I talked to my wife. She said she's used business cards from local print shops and things before and she loves the VistaPrint ones and says they are Awesome. They are very think, even thinker than she would have normally gotten from a Print shop. She also got their Glossy ones and she can not tell that they are not from a local place at all. She is more than happy with the quality and has no complaints at all.

She's going to scan one in and email it to me and I can upload it if you wanted to see that.

Check out: www.gotprint.com - they have great prices 5000 cards for $100 with very good thick quality. They have lots of free templates to design your own cards with. I've used them before and have been very impressed.

i actually ordered some from vistaprint and received them last thursday. they are GREAT!

i paid $12 + shipping for 1000 cards, glossy finish and my own design I uploaded 😀
