best place to get roses for v day?

i used proflowers.com last year.
i was quite impressed. i had to call them for something and the CSR was incredibly helpful/nice guy.

turn back time a couple months, buy them when they aren't so terribly expensive, and come back to now. Problem solved.

go drive around, some low life will be selling them on the side of the road, maybe from their trunk.

Do all stores pretty much jack up the prices for Valentine's Day? Or is it that since most places will sell out, the other places, which have jacked up the price are the places that most last-minute guys have to visit?

I believe since demand >>>>> supply, then price ++

I'm buying mine at Target this year. My wife works there and says they're selling them, so I get 10% employee discount too!

Which of course makes sense for the local shops and the guy on the side of the highway. I wasn't sure if the bigger chain stores raise their prices or not, since the demand is obviously short-lived.

Why not just have the wife bring them home after she gets off work?

Last year I bought from a florist.

Throughout the year this year I've bought flowers from costco and had good results/product. Cheap too..

NOTHING ON EARTH BEATS COSTCO FOR THIS!!!!

They always have 18 long stem red roses for like $14 or something. It's insane!!! And they are REALLY nice quality too.

i have to disagree about costco. I saw the roses there, they are not that great, not that fresh, not that 'red', they looked like they were a week old.

In GR, MI, the shops along Division Ave are certainly cheaper (GRs finest ladies of the night do business on Division). Anyone who buys flowers from Eastern Floral needs their head examined. Also, your local yellow pages will show you cheaper alternatives; don't call the places with the full page ads.

ohman just bought two dozens from safeway. very nice and cheap! when you get it wrapped ask one of the young girls to do it and tell her how you want to make ur SO happy and stuff...they'll put more effort into it!
