I need to buy a total of...oh, I guess like 20 bottles of wine for christmas gifts. Anyone know where I can get a good bulk discount in the LA area?

Comedy "Buy the boxed kind" option :)

(Hey, it would be easier to wrap)

Call up a liquor store and ask. Go wherever you go normally, they might give you a good price on a case.

Drive north a few hours...cross a big bridge that has a rust-color to it...go northeast for a bit...start smashing grapes like mad!

Unfortunately, "bulk discounts" are somewhat of a rarity when purchasing alcohol. You might want to check your local "Liquor Barn" or equivalent.

Yeah, great place if I want LIQUID FECES.

I've bought about 5 different bottles of wine from Trader Joe's and all of them were crap.
Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

Sam's Club has amazingly goods wines for equally amazingly low prices -
in some states, they are required to even let non-members purchase liquor (only) because of licensing issues.

try Sams Club - if your not a member - find someone who is- or just go there and tell them you want to buy wine, and see if they let you in.

i purchased lots of champagne there for gifts, at really low prices (for great champagne by the way)

Amnesia how long are you willing to drive? I used to work at the Yardhouse in Costa Mesa, which if you're familiar with the chain has over 180 different beers on tap.

Anyhow, I still remember some of the vendors we used locally and there's one out in Newport...let me know and I'll point you in that direction.
