Been awhile since I've had contacts. What are the pro's and con's to filling a contact prescription on-line? And what about contact types. Last time I had them, I had the 3-6 month ones (clean'em before you put em...rub, rub and bimonthly protein soaks). Of course, upon further review, at the time, the 2-week ones and the 6-month ones were the exact same manufacturers p/n (surprise, surprise). So...any suggestions, besides hard ones, don't really want to deal with building up the calluses at this point.

That's got nothing to do with the type of contacts. That's old school lense cleaning. A good multi-purpose solution will eliminated the need for rubbing/protein drops.

From what I understand, there are lenses that need and/or strong enough to be rubbed daily (I used a multi-purpose cleaning solution when rubbing). That's what I was told to do by my eye doctor. This was......lessee...almost 10 years ago I guess. Anyway...I know you can get 2 week ones, and my fiancee has 1 month ones and you get ones for longer. So any suggestions from the AT/OT community?

I would only buy online if you knew exactly what you need. It sounds as if you need to be evaluated and fitted. they need to examine and check things such as base curve and diameter.

I use a extended wear that I use as a daily. CSI - T very strong and will take abuse quite well. also resistant to protein buildup.

my understanding is that daily disposables can be used as reg contact lens. so you may want to go that route.

COSTCO has the best prices. I buy from them.
