Best place to buy Onkyo TX-DS494 ?

So far i figure ill just bend over and buy it at circuit city and pay tax. Tell me if i should buy it somewhere esle...
 
I think Vanns carries Onkyo. They have FREE ground shipping and you most likely will not have to pay tax either.


I also think they are having a 10% off sale through Sunday.

I bought my JVC HT system (DS-TP350) from there - quick and easy!
 
You might try calling The Happy Medium and see about a price. They are an authorized dealer for a lot of electronics. Others might sell it, but they won't be able to extend the manufacture's warranty.
 
Sorry that it is OOS at both locations. I know that Vanns is pretty good about notifying you when they get more in (When I wanted the JVC DS-TP350 "Home Theater in a box" they had the best deal but it was out of stock. I subscribed to their "stock notification" and was rewarded with an "in-stock" email message a short 3 days later!)

i dont think theyll get it back in stock because i believe its been discontinued or will be shortly. i looked around at vanns.com and it does look like a good site. thanks

thanks but it looks like they have the 474 and not the 494, there is a big difference because 494 has dpl II and 474 does not.

Best Place for Onkyo gear.

Btw, the 494 has been discontinued, so get the new 595. It's their "entry" level receiver, but it rocks.

I got my onkyo 494 (god these things rock) at a local store where they pricematched with circuit city.
