Best place to buy college textbooks?

Yet another vote for the library. If you are going to anything but the tiniest school, odds are they have a decent library that may already have your textbook, and if you don't have it, in all likelyhood they are part of an interlibrary loan system that does have your book. I haven't bought a book for more than $25 since freshman year (even made some money selling the books I did buy). The interlibrary loans were good for 4 weeks at my school with the option to renew for another 4 weeks, that should take care of a semester.

Also, if your school's library doesn't have a good interlibrary loan system, try the local town's library

lol. I used my grandpa's copy of Gray's (printed in 1939) to get through my grad anatomy course. You do NOT need a new anatomy textbook.

look for international paperback versions of books.. much more cost effective than hardbacks
