Ok, I see that list. This is assuming a Google app is the issue.
There are about 10 other apps in the auto sync list.

I am pretty sure it was the Shazam music recognition app causing the drain.

I uninstalled Shazam and drain is gone.
I have enabled every other Google and email update, and still no drain.
I tried to reinstall Shazam, but it does not show up in the autoUpdate accounts list.

So, I am 99% sure it was Shazam, but didn't methodically isolate it. Changed a few variables at once, but now everything is enabled as before, except Shazam, and no battery drain.

Hi, I am sorry for digging out an old thread but have question related to the topic.

Is it likely that a genuine LG G2 battery was manufactured in May 2016?

I have found this item on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152356529701?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
The seller claims it's an original battery but I am not sure if LG was still making them last year. They probably stopped manufacturing LG G2 ages ago so they all must be out of warranty meaning there is no reason to still make the batteries for them. Unless they use them in other devices that is.

Many thanks.

You will actually never find NEW genuine batteries, manufacturers don't want a reseller market. They sell them for customers who ask and for the units they repair. What you see on ebay as "real" lg batteries are simply used batteries from defunct systems. Do not confuse OEM with "LG made this battery for this LG phone".

That said, do not be afraid of third party batteries. There are a number of china/Korean companies who make it their #1 job to build and sell replacement batteries for a range of electronics like laptops and phones. Find these companies (ebay storefronts) and their batteries and you should be good to go.

Edit: Looks like the G2 market is pretty large. Looks like http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LG-G2-B...03-LS980-VS980-3000mAh-Tool-USA-/152348209707 would be my pick. The sticker used is pretty common of the ebay stock so its probably from a single battery maker, and its a US reseller who has been working for 2 years with a high rating so he is probably working with a supplier he trust.

Thanks for the explanation. I thought it was a bit odd they sell "genuine" batteries made in 2016. At least now I know what to look for.
