Are Ebay batteries counterfeit junk? I am fine with counterfeit, as long as they are good. Want to open this phone once, so I am willing to pay more for a quality OEM battery. Any ideas where to buy from? Battery code is BL-T7

I got mine from ebay, took a while to find one that had a step in it, the fake ones are just flat.

I usually get my batts from amazon. Better return policy if something is amiss.

Yea, but which seller? Hoping to find someone who has replaced a G2 battery with success.

For $8, I'll give it a whirl.
I assume even fake batteries DO work, right?
Something is very wrong with my L2 and is draining within 3 hours, suddenly.

get amazon. Ebay so many frauds. they had good pictures but the battery was flat. I complained and they sent a second that was even thinner than the fake thin non-ridged one. I returned both, made a note to never buy electronics from ebay again if I need something ASAP, and bought from amazon

Look for something from Amazon, if you can't find the OEM version from LG.

Anker batteries seem to work fine in my Samsung phone. But I watch the temps closely on the batteries because they aren't samsung batteries.

Go into settings>battery and see what app is using most of the battery, then goto settings>accounts and see if any of your accounts can't sync properly.

Auto sync will tank your battery if you have a bunch of stuff running

Don't buy a fake battery, if you can't find a legit lg battery buy a anker battery. They make good batteries

Thanks Shabby, YOU RULE.

I turned off Auto Updater and problem is solved!

Settings -> Accounts -> Auto-sync data UNCHECKED

But which account was having sync issues? Go into your google/exchange accounts and see what's not syncing, is it contacts/gmail/photos or whatnot. If you turn off auto-sync you probably won't be receiving any emails.

The only thing that looks odd in this list is Shazam.
Maybe it updated itself the last time I used it, and now it's causing issues.

I can't selectively enable synch to indiv apps, so I'm not sure how to isolate the rogue app

Know how to do this on Lollipop 5.0.2 ?

Stop syncing everything: Your Android device helpfully tries to sync all your data with your Google account. While this is great for things like calendar and email, it can drain your battery and pump up data usage when it syncs things like photos. To make sure your phone isn't constantly backing up things you don't want or need to back up, go to Settings and then click your account listed under accounts. From there, click on your email address to see everything Google is syncing. Uncheck anything you'd rather not sync.

The phone went from 100% to 93% in 8 hours.
2% used im the last 3 hours.

It was absolutely the auto updating.

Now that it's obviously the updater, I will look into trying to isolate the actual app.
