priceline will allow you to name a price but you don't know what time of day you will fly or what times until you buy the ticket.

Sometimes airlines will give you discounts that you wouldn't get from sites like travelocity. I picked up some airtran tickets from their site for 5-10 less than any other sites had them.

ya, you have a point. I usually use orbitz to find a good deal. Then I go directly to the airline to actually buy the ticket b/c it normally is $10 cheaper or so. No big deal but $10 is $10 - If it's only like $5 difference I use Orbitz b/c they deserve my business if I used them to find the tickets.

Perhaps. But the real deals, I get by calling in :)

Using Kayak, I have found round trip tickets leaving/returning midweek from NYC to Tokyo - does anyone think that I can do better than $1000 out the door? Any input is apreciated.
