Best place to buy a replacement phone

My RAZR is beat to hell and I'd like to replace it with a new phone but one that's decent. Anyplace I can get a great deal on an unlocked phone? Wouldn't mind a new RAZR or something better.

motorola.com Their prices are good and can usually find a promo code floating around the net somewhere to get like an extra 15%. I bought a ROKR Z6 a couple months ago for a cool $200 from there.

I bought a "new" unlocked RAZR on Ebay for my wife. It was advertised as new but was clearly a refurbished unit. Still, we got it for a great price and it's been working fine.

Another placed for unlocked cell phones is Amazon - a lot more expensive, but less risky too.

Another thing you can do is just buy a new shell for your RAZR - makes them look new again. It takes a bit of time to replace the shell - and a set of small screwdrivers and hex wrenches, but it's a lot cheaper than a new cell phone.

If you want a relativly no frills phone, pick up a tmobile prepaid phone from just about anywhere. The most basic ones can usualy be found for $40 or less. Then, sell the prepaid sim on ebay for $5-10. Just pop your old sim in and good to go.
