If you're a student, go through the Apple site and get a slight discount on macbooks.

If you get it through Amazon, you won't have to pay tax. If you have, Amazon Prime, you get free 2-day shipping too.

Amazon. They have a $100 rebate.

I bought $2000 worth of Amazon gift certificates on eBay for ~$1500 and my new C2D MacBook Pro will be $1350 after rebate.

Do you guys expect any more discounts to come in the future?

Seems like these rebate sales are about as good as it gets from this company.

macmall.com is where I got my MacMini, not sure if you'll be charged tax or not.

yeah I think I might place my order on macmall's site before they're sold out too. I'd wait for the new OSX, but I need a computer now.

I would suggest Apple.com if you are in need of Apple Care Warranties. I don't know if Amazon offers these even with the rebates. Then again, the money you save towards the new macbook I guess could go into purchasing the extended warranty so you at least save some money. I think you have a year after purchase date(unless specified otherwise) to add Apple Care Warranty. I think checking your serial/model number on the Apple.com website will give you that information.

You can buy AppleCare seperately...
