Best place for cell phone plan comparison

This summer I am going to be getting a cell phone and I'm looking for a place to compare plans and a place that will list the quality of the provider in my area(I've heard that the quality of service varies greatly from area to area)
Does anybody know any good cellphone plans that are around $30 and have caller ID and voice mail?

Point.com will let you compare different rate plans to see which gets you the most bang for your buck.

The alt.cellular UseNet NewsGroups can also be helpful, search for posts by your city name (or a larger metropolitan city near you).

Usually the best advice is from family/friends/co-workers you trust, ask them which cell phone provider they have, are they happy with the service and quality?
