Best Photoshop and Web Design books?

Entity

Lifer
I'm looking to buy a book for Photoshop and another for Web Design. Any recommendations? I've used Photoshop extensively over the last six or seven years, but I still don't feel like I have the grasp on it I should - additionally, I'd like to learn more about website design, especially if I'm going to be starting a few more projects in the near future (websites for a friend's cafe, that sort of thing). Any recommendations? Price really isn't a concern. 😛

I would lean macromedia MX. It has some good tutorials. I learned on Macromedia and Frontpage. I use Macromedia now to do most of my stuff.

As for photoship and the like, I suck at them all 😛 Ask Lord Maul among others.

i have learn photoshop 6.0 in 30 days, or was it 24 hours? im willing to sell it at a cheap price, $10.00. retail is like $30.00 for it. i also have photoshop 6.0 classroom in a book. book retails for $50.00 in stores. willing to sell this bad boy for $15.00.

Hmm, that didn't work for me nik. Were you just making a link to the Photoshop Bible? I used to read that book, back when PS4 was new stuff. 😀

Poop, it's not a working link. I went to Amazon.com and searched for "Photoshop"

Yeah, I know how to search for things on Amazon, thanks. What I was wondering was moreso from the likes of Maul and others who may have read books and have input on what's the best. I don't want to hear from Jim's mom's cousin that a book on Amazon taught her how to scan a photo and make the eyes red; I want to hear from people who are good at PShop what could help someone else gain similar experience (like working with paths, channels, etc.). I've got the basics down and want to move from there.
