Well with all the photos that I've seen on here I'm interested to see peoples best. Please post your 10 best photos from the last 12 months, please post them without any post processing though so that we can all have a level playing field. Would be interested to know what you all think of my 10:
1 - fireworks night (5th Nov) last year.
2 - Formal do at John's college Cambridge.
3 - My gun on a very snowy weekend
4 - Norwich clocktower in the snow
5 - Norwich chappelfield gardens again in the snow
6 - Sunset over footbridge
7 - a friend of mine, Ceri on the beach at Holkham, Norwich - where they shot shakespere in love
8 - My gun live firing, if you look to the right you can see the round
9 - Skydiving in Germany
10 - Holkham again

Really love that one, care to enlighten me on where/how/with what that was taken?

Letchworth State Park, Mt Morris NY, Nikon D70 w/ 18-70 f/3.5-4.5

point - focus - shoot - then converted to greyscale in PS

looks even better in a 20x30 frame on the wall

I LOVE that pic. Looks Sherlock Holmes is gonna step right out of it. Do you have it in wallpaper size by any chance?

Wow...shooting a good dragonfly is tough stuff. My lens never wants to focus on it, it just searches around, I always have to revert to MF.

This is one of my better dragonfly pics...pic

My lens only goes up to 55mm so I have to get ass close to these things in order to get a shot...which then narrows the DOF and softens the picture.

I'm hoping to get a 70-300 soon.

Wow...I'm impressed by a lot of the landscape pics. The "ghost" one is really creative!

I've got some dragonfly/butterfly pictures taken at F2.8 with my Tamron 28-75.

The results are decent but not as sharp as I'd like at F2.8: PICS.

Well, you've got the lens wide open, which will naturally give you softer pics. Try something like 5.6 to see if you get better results.
