Best photobook printing web site/service? Anyone?

I've heard good things about Lulu.com
My wife likes to use mixbook.com, but that is more of a scrapbook printing site

Are you looking for inexpensive (like something you'd use to print your family vacation pictures), or something for professional picture printing?

More on the pro side I think...emphasis on quality and presentation.

My mom made a book on blurb.com but I wasn't very impressed with the result. It's quite possible that was more due to the poor source quality of the pictures, but even the binding didn't seem very sturdy.

I just put an order in with http://www.picaboo.com over the weekend. The software was very easy to use and they have a good number of templates. Won't be able to comment on the end-quality until they arrive.

mpix.com does a really good job with pictures, and whcc.com (white house custom colour) does an excellent job for pro and am photogs. mpix.com does stuff for anyone, whcc.com is more exclusive, you have to apply and be accepted as a client before they do prints.

My wife just tried Snapfish and the shadow areas came out almost black. I don't recommend Snapfish.

I constructed and ordered a book through Blurb last night, and I have an overall very positive feeling about using their service. Recommended!

so i am deciding between Blurb and myPublisher. I am leaning towards Blurb because its cheaper since the quality of the prints from both places seem the same (from online photos). what do you guys think?

I have used Apple's service (don't know which printer they use), blurb, and qoop. I will be ordering again soon, and it will be from blurb (with their new premium paper!)

the thing about the blurb software is that its hard to really customize the image layouts to the way you like. you gotta work within those boxes on each of the page layout you are given.

Are competing services different?

I have done a photobook with Blurb. I was pleased with the results.

on a related not, I used Vistaprint for some calendars this past holiday. I was extremely pleased with them. The quality of the stock was outstanding, and the photos that were printed for the calendar came out extremely well.
