There's a lot of Wireless Network Cards out there and some are much better than others when it comes to range. I am indoors on a desktop and need a card that will access a omnidirectional antenna on a roof 300 yards away. There's got to be a cheap card out there that can access that distance. It's not that far. Does anyone know?

Well if the signal is strong enough then a regular PCI card would work fine i would think

300 yards is actually a long distance for wireless when you consider the card is going to be indoor and the antenna is outdoor. It all depends on how strong the oudoor omni is. Just make sure the wireless PCI card has the option of attaching a more powerful antenna.

I agree with Randum. I would go with an Orinoco Gold PCMCIA card and PCI adapter (if you want that type of setup) so you can add an external antenna if needed. That is a fairly long distance. I have added antennas both to my AP and to my Orinoco to get a good strong signal between houses, and they are only about 100' away, granted indoors.

the linksys WMP11 has an external RP-SMA connector, you can connect a high gain parabolic dish to it.
