That's because it's the same thing as Kazaa, it just has the spy-ware and ads removed.

dc++ is an open source client that allows you to be on many hubs at once, no ads, just a 200-300kb program

Most hubs seem to threaten bans for using DC++. I'm sure it's not too hard to detect, so....
