I need to buy a new mouse...don't particularly need wireless, what is a fine USB mouse? I do game... what's good? 🙂

Frackal, Logitech makes some ones that are older and cheaper than this one too that you might want to check out.

MX510 MX518 etc. are excellent gaming mice.
 
I was looking at the MX-518 with interest. I do game a bit, but found the decals (with the dents and scrapes) unappealing. I wonder if i'd do just as well with the MX-500, which has the nice black and silver finish more consistent with Logitech styling.

Best thing is to go down to your local big-box retailer, find the rack of keyboards they will have and try them all out. It's really hard to make a keyboard recommendation. I have a BenQ X120, which I love because it is like a laptop keyboard with really short key travel and great tactile feedback. However, I can understand how other people would hate it. It's really a personal thing.

Edit: test-drive the Saitek gaming keyboard. It's supposed to be really nice, but as I said, it's all personal preference.
 
I like my BLue Logitech MX-510 mouse.

I have the Saitek Gamer's Keyboard, which is the same as all of their keyboards. Go saitek.

just get a regular optical mouse...make sure it has the scroll button and its wired...
 
has anyone used the Logitech Dual sensor MouseMan? Been using this for a while, and I just wanted to know if it was worth the upgrade (I currently have a boxed IExplorer 4.0, but would rather upgrade to MX-510). Is the tracking that much better? Thanks.

The 518 is lighter (same case as 510 however they omit the iron weight) than the 510 and features on the fly dpi buttons where the cruise up/down buttons on the 510 were. It also has the appearence of getting attacked by a ball peen hammer which I don't understand but this does not affect the use.
 
5xx are waay to big for me, altho I have bigger hands than the most. I am not very fond of idea of palming the mouse, which is why I always preferred logitech over MS. 300/310 fits me perfectly.

Lol. So true. I think this was the one thing that made me hesitate to buy it. I was trying it out at best buy - it seemed to fit well, scroll well, move well, and then I looked at it and was like, "Wow, i wonder if this model's been abused or something" 😉
