I just upgraded my new PC to a x1950xt and now I need to upgrade the hand-me-down P4 to the kids. It is a Dell Dimension 4600 P4 with 1.5GB of Ram. It does NOT have a PCIe slot, so I am looking for AGP. I know this machine will not be a gamer....but I would like to update it a little.

Thoughts???

Well, what exactly do you want to do, that the machine can't currently do?

If you're not gaming, what do you want a better video card for?

He said it won't be a gamer not that it won't be for playing any games on. In otherwords his kids won't be playing games on it 24/7.

In all honesty though, head over to the FS forum and grab a 6600GT AGP card. They can be had for $50 or so and are decent performers.

Absolutely. I had the same computer and used a 6600gt in it. It can play almost anything you throw at it at lower resolutions and medium settings.
