Best option for capturing composite video?

I'm building a computer that needs to be able to capture composite video from an older camcorder.

What would be the best approach without spending a ton: a video card (gf4 4200 or better) with VIVO, or buying a separate capture card? The card would have to run in XP (win2k support would also be good, but not required), and I don't have any need for a tv-tuner or anything else, just video capture.

I'd like to spend no more than $150 for the video card or both video card and capture card.

normaly i recomend geting a seprate card for capture as then you don't have to worry about capture ablities each time you upgrade your graphics. however that might be a little more than you are willing to spend at the moment; in which case if you want capture and decent gameing peformace, a 4200 vivo or a 9600pro vivo would be your best bet.

Pure capture cards (w/o TV tuner) go for around $25, full TV tuner cards for $50 and higher.

Anyone else? All I really need to know is if the quality of the video in on typical vivo video cards is crappy or not compared to a stand alone capture card.

I think the AIW boards are as good as the stand alone, they just have different software.

I use the Pinnacle Studio Deluxe.
