most of the logitechs are symmetrical with a ratchetissimo wheel.
LOL@Elfenix - have you ever had a monkey climb over your car windows? you don't want to know what their equipment looks like :(

Mouseman Optical all the way. I can't really find any use for more than 4 buttons, and besides, the 4th and 5th buttons on the Explorer are placed too high for convienient thumb operation. I like how the mouseman has the 4th button right under the thumb. So even when my thumb is resting on the mousepad, I can easily click the 4th button with no trouble at all. With the Explorer, you have to raise your thumb to an uncomfortable postition - for me at least :)

The answer is simple, the Logitech Optical Mouseman Wheel( yes it`s blue) comes with USB to PS2 adaptor, rock solid for gaming & general use.

Logitech mice seem to have high reliability compared to Microsoft mice.

whats the differane between logitech optican wheel mouse and the logiteh optical mouseman? both are opticaal, both have wheel, use same drivers. mouseman is osts more, suits only right handed (no prob. with that), why is it better?
do they have both cordless and standard versions? i dont want a cordless mouse (but i want optical, and a logitech one, sine my trusty old mouseman2 has been good to me for 3 years)

Wheel mouse is your standard, 2 button with clickable wheel mouse in a nice shade of blue. The Mouseman is not symmetrical and is more expensive, with more buttons and stuff. Mouseman is nicer, but wheel mouse works good too.

EDIT: Yes, I belive both have cordless versions.

Another vote for the Logitech Mouseman Optical.

Although I still prefer my other Mouseman, the original Mouseman Wheel. I like the grips on the padded sides better, and it is just slightly smaller.

What's with this Blue LED thing with the Optical Mouseman? All the ones I've seen still have the Red LED at the bottom.

I used a few, but still prefer my MS Intellimouse Optical (not the Explorer). Symmetrical with four buttons plus wheel. Fits nicely.

I heard that the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse, because it's cordless, has a slower refresh rate than other optical mice that are corded. I want smooth, fast motion with an optical mouse and was seriously considering the Cordless Optical until he pointed out its slow speed.

Do any of you have a cordless optical mouse? What are your experiences?

I am told the MS mechanical mouse gets through batteries real fast, I don't hold out much hope for an optical mouse! some people don't like the extra weight with batteries which also hampers responsiveness.

Logitech Optical Mouseman - this thing rocks. screw the nappy click and scroll on the microsoft mice. plus, they don't have that cool blue light...
