Best open source program to edit videos?

What is the best open source program to edit videos on Windows? I'm looking to save hundreds of dollars

I've been using kdenlive, it's probably the most stable program I've ever used, as I find video editing programs crash A LOT even the commercial ones in Windows. However, I find it lacks lot of features. For example you cannot change the speed of a clip with the audio. Capabilities with alpha also leave a bit to be desired. It's sorta doable but kinda a pain in the ass and limited the way they did it. It could also use more transition/effects.

windows movie maker obviously,but there are also a couple others,there are only very few non linear editors that are free,I don't know about how open source they are but they are free to use.
