That's typical of any 80s movie and TV shows. They all use the same sound FX for punches.

Are you kidding me? None of them are more than a few seconds... I mean its a fantastic movie but nowhere near the best on screen fight scene.
 
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - the duel scene in the training room, ZZ's character with Green Destiny vs. Michelle Yeoh using pretty much every weapon on the rack. LOVED the semi-acrobatics they had going on with the hook swords.
