Work is providing a business line and phone to go with.. however they won't pay more than $1 for the phone.

Strictly a work only phone. Have an HTC One for personal use.

Thoughts? Thinking either iPhone 5 or Moto X.. dark horse would be the Note 3 but IDK if I'd want to be carrying that everywhere. Open to the certified-new phones as well.

Edit: Can't use my personal phone since my phone is rooted and the software (MobileIron/TouchDown?) won't work with a rooted phone.

Since you already have an Android phone for personal use, having one at work would allow you to use the same apps, if thats something that interests you.

Those are all very solid phones, except the iPhone 5. Thats not only previous generation, it was heavily obsolete before it even shipped.

The question you should ask is whether you want a 5.5in+ device.

You should check to see if there's an Xposed module to disable whatever checks MobileIron is doing. There's one for Good.

But a free Note 3? I'd take that...

Nice call! Checked and found a Rootcloaker module that'd work for MobileIron. Gonna see if they IT guy here can get it working tomorrow.

I'd personally rather carry one phone so this is a better alternative should it work.

Couldn't tell ya about any of the others, but when my SG3's screen broke, I went with the 16 GB SG4 and have no complaints. That I can drop as much as 128GB of SD card into it makes it a no brainer for me. Yeah, it's still loaded with all the AT&T and Samsung garbage, but once I root it, that'll be history.
