Heh let me dig a couple million out of my trust funds first. ;)

Damn it's been so long ago, but in high school, we'd climb down from PV to the water and just waste the days away.

I lived in Hermosa Beach for 2 years and would move back there if I lived in the LA area again.

seriously. mission beach. ocean beach. cant think of anywhere better.

Not familiar with the area... is it nicer than Ventura?

I'm looking into some Oxnard real estate... and considered Orange County for them, but properties do tend to be sky-high there... it's a beautiful area, though.

Newport is a cool place, im sure you can find a decent house for not toooo much

it's true... I was driving around and saw a sign for a condo with it's own dock for *ONLY* $800k ;) Right below it was one for a beachfront mansion for $8mil :p

Ghetto Westminster is cheap and not far from the beach.
Lots of Azn $killionaires, though.

Ha!

If you want warm water and sandy beaches Redondo Beach is a better choice, but expect to pay almost as much as SB.

Leucadia, Del Mar, Solana Beach, La Jolla are all nice. You can get a condo around there probably for around $400k+. depends how close to water you are. water view = $++ :)

I'm down visiting friends at UC Santa Barbara right now, (which is actually in Goleta, not Santa Barbara but a stone's throw away) and this place is paradise. :)

I camped at Goleta once with family. It was pretty cool.

Expensive!! Oxnard has a very large Hispanic population and parts are gang territory. Ventura usually has bad weather - cloudy, cold. Camarillo (my hometown) is expensive. Santa Barbara is also expensive, but somewhere like Carpenteria might be nice.

Weather-wise definitely, but to me the beaches just don't compare to warm, sandy LA beaches with water warm enough to swim in sans wetsuit even at night.

But if Dezign's folks are just going to watch the waves I guess that isn't an issue.
