IP35-E is a fantastic board. I have five...$55 to $60 AR. There are two major flaws with this boad...
1. Bad solder @ SATA ports. Very rare but you need to make sure that your connectors do not fall-off when your remove the SATA cable.
2. Cool boot issue if ambient temperature is under 63F. Again, probably a few hundred affected boards in the field with this bad transistor. Go to the Abit IP35-E review thread (MB forum) to see link for location and diagnostic. Check the last 10 to 15 pages. You can apply an ice pack to the affected area. If the PC will boot, then you don't have the cold boot issue.
It's best to stick with 12 BIOS. 14 BIOS is best if you never turn off the PSU at the wall (24/7 standby power to the MB). 14 BIOS may not POST reliably with some rigs.
