Best Nvidia drivers?

6.49 are absolutely horrible. Do not use them. But then, so are most of the *cough*leaked*cough* drivers. I still use the last official drivers 6.31 (over 2-1/2 months old now). They aren't great but they are decent, and atleast they are supported when you have problems. And you will have problems.

Don't listen to dominoidiot there. All 6.xx drivers work , but there is barely any performance increase between them.

Well, there is a problem with Windows ME and shutting down which affects the 6.31 drivers. Also, on some games, there is a small flicker that occurs once in a while (noticable in Diablo II and Flight Simulator 2000). With 6.49, they all went away. Aside from these two problems, Detonator 3 have performed pretty well for me. I am using them on a BX system, a KT133 system and an 815 system. Will be putting them into an 820 system shortly.

I just loaded up the 6.49s and my 3dmark went from 7200 to 7460 😀
And i noticed my games seem smoother. Not framerate just smoother.

My advice is try lastest official drivers (6.31) if you have problems then go onto the beta drivers 6.35,6.49 etc,I`m using 6.31 drivers on Win98 with MSI K7T PRO board with no problems.

Using WINDOWS ME, I saw a drastic improvement after changing to the 6.49 drivers. I had previously used 6.31

Currently using 6.31's and DirectX 8 -- rock solid stable.

I found no benefit to using anything newer than 5.22 with my TNT2 Ultra. When I replace it with a GeForce2 MX tomorrow, I'll try the 6.47 from 3DChipset I hope there's a noticable difference.
