Best nvidia drivers out now?

What are the fastest and most stable drivers out for nvidia cards now?
I'm using 30.82 drivers still on my GF4 Ti4400.

I have tried, liked and am still using the 40.72 drivers.

If you don't want to use NVidia's beta, then you are probably using the next best thing now

Your mileage may vary, lots of differing opinions out there..... best to either use the 'official' 30.82 or experiment for yourself.... Opinions concerning all the 'leaked' betas out there are too varied and contradictory to trust very much. (IMHO, of course)

I`m still using the good old 30.82 official drivers, stability and image quality is better then the 40.xx drivers IMHO.

🙂

Another thing to consider with the newer drivers. You may want to back down your OC's once you have switched to a new det. The newer drivers usually have "optimizations" that push your card harder, so things may become a bit unstable at speeds you thought were completely stable. I've had to back down my OC's a few times b/c of artifacts and crashes when I switched to a new detonator. After that, its a matter of finding the new max overclock, and then weighing the pros/cons before deciding to keep it or revert to your old detonator. I was using 30.82 with my gf3 ti200, using 40.72 detXP now with my ti4200 turbo.

Beleve it or not but with My Ti4200 I lost almost a thousand
points in 3DMark 2001 going from 40.72 down to 30.82....
Still can't beleive it. I did go back to 40.72, of course 🙂 🙂

That 1000 point loss almost sounds like the memory hole thingy..........

To compare benchies using 3DMark2001se, you need to run the bench immediately after startup and only once for each boot.

I'm using the 30.82's. I had some problems with the 40.72's; haven't tried the 41.03's. At their current rate, it won't be long until the Detonator 100's are here.

plz elaborate on the memory hole. I went down from the 40.72 to the 30.82 for a better oc but i did lose 1000 3dmarks, odd!

Edit: its in bios as disabled.

Ho hum.
