I am wanting to know the best video card Nvidia chipset for around the 350-400 range. please let me know and if you can tell me where you got the price from??

yup qft. I'd bet the gtx will be closer to $400 within a few months though, after rebate anyway. There's a $449 after rebate 7900gtx right now...
 
EVGA 7900GT Signature Series 600/1600 - $359.99 is probably the fasted stock NVIDIA card in that price range. However, the best values are found in the $300-350 range, which contains a variety of factory OC'ed 7900GTs.

That absolute best card for under $400 IMO is this SAPPHIRE Radeon X1900XT for $389.99, or if you don't mind rebates this Sapphire Radeon X1900XT for $369.99 AMIR is an awesome deal.

Either get the 7900gt for $279, or the x1900xt for $369. Or wait until the 7900gtx drops in price below $400.
