wow Awesome!
My HT room is 20'L x 11'w x 9'h, unfortunately no door yet to single entrance. I am running B&W 805's, B&W HTM4, and B&W CDM 1nt's rear. powered by a Emotiva 200w/ch amp. 120" projection screen. Which PSA sub would you recommend?

I'm a bit of a bass freak, so I know I won't be totally happy until I have a tapped horn like one of Tom Danley's products or clones. I've got a kit for his first subwoofer the Servodrive Contrabass, but no practical way for now to make the cabinet.

Lots of happy owners of DIY Dayton subs, couple 12" and a 500w digital amp, not all that much money.

Hi Brain,

I'll copy my response from AVS.

With a little <2000 cu-ft I'd look sealed, shallow rolloff. This will mirror your room transfer function to provide extremely deep extension, and optimal sound quality as well. Now it just comes down to two considerations.

1)How much headroom/output do we need to meet your performance expectations?

2)Do you have a preference for one sub versus two subs?

If you don't have a strong preference for duals and the smoothing effect they typically offer I would start with a singl XS15se or XS30se. Both will extend below 10hz in this room environment with really good overall SQ. The main difference between them will be output capabilities. The XS30se will have a nice edge here, close to dual XS15se actually. Do you occasionally enjoy action oriented DVDs at very loud output levels? If so, the single XS30se is the way to go. If, 95% of the time the playback levels are more moderate...say 9-12dB under reference...a single XS15se will be fine.
