Best Non-Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse

MotionMan

Lifer
I need some suggestions for "full-sized" non-Apple Bluetooth keyboards and mice (I am looking for those without dongles) to use with my Mac Mini.

The Apple keyboards are too small and the Apple mice suck.

Links are appreciated.

Even if it comes with a dongle, you can still use the BT chip on the Mac. Just throw away the dongles. If it says it is BT then it is using that protocol.

All the dongle-based keyboards and mice I have found do not appear to be bluetooth based. In fact, none of the B&M stores seem to carry BT keyboards at all.

I cannot believe that Apple makes the only BT keyboards.

Good luck, I have yet to find good bluetooth keyboards and mice.

I have found bt mice, but they are always the silly small travel mice for notebooks.

I'd love to find a nice bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo.

They don't. Have you checked on Newegg or Amazon? The Logitech DiNovo Edge is Bluetooth, and rechargeable, has a little round trackpad even, works out of the box with OS X and Windows. They might (may, possibly, not really sure) sell a Mac specific one, meaning that it has the keys labelled correctly and in the correct order.

However, it is not cheap, something like $150 IIRC.

I have found the same thing. Do all BT mice have to be sized for my kids?

I love my trackpad, but there are times when I need a mouse. The trackpad does not always map well into every situation (Like using the netbackup application though X windows)

I agree, but they're fantastic for general use + HTPC.

keyboard: Logitech DiNovo Edge for mac

mouse: i haven't found a good BT soln, i use a Logitech MX Revolution with the dongle stuck into the USB hub on my monitor

I love my Logitech DiNovo Edge for Mac, though scrolling with the tiny built in round track pad can get annoying.

I've been looking for one of these as well.

One thing I really wish is that MS made the Natural Keyboard 4000 in a BT form factor (or even wireless for that matter). And don't even get me started on Apple's chiclet keyboards....all I can say is, I hope they don't make their devs use those, otherwise they all must go full retard with two wrist braces on at all times.

Rocketfish BT keyboard model RF-BTKBS
Rocketfish BT mouse model RF-BTMSE2

These, purchased as a combo, come with a dongle if your computer has no BT chip. They pair with my MBP without an issue ( or the dongle ) and have great battery life.

Hmmm. Only 3 stars on Amazon. 🙁
