Probably PHM only because it was my first exposure to NIN. The Downward Spiral is an exellent record too.

For some reason I've just stayed away from their stuff. No idea why I guess. Probably because in the past I spent so much time with classical.

Listening to "We're In This Together"...very nice

Just start at the beginning of PHM and listen to the first 4 songs or so. Then you can determine whether to skip that CD and go to the next one. If I were you though, I wouldn't skip it.

Just start at the beginning of PHM and listen to the first 4 songs or so. Then you can determine whether to skip that CD and go to the next one. If I were you though, I wouldn't skip it.

Will do. I just read a review and am definitely intrigued.

Will probably BT it since I can't find it on itunes or anywhere else that I can lsiten to it immediately(I don't have yahoo to-go now), and if I like it, I will definitely buy it.

One should really listen to a full album all the way through to get the full affect.

Pretty Hate Machine is definitely one of the best CDs to listen from start to end. Not a lull in the whole thing.

1989? I remember the first time I heard it like it was yesterday and have been hooked ever since.

I agree. When I first heard a RATM's Battle for LA all the way through I fell in love

Now go and summate Led Zepplin or Van Halen or perhaps the Rolling Stones.

What made those bands so great is their variety and flow. Same with NIN.
