The Pats and the Steelers are evenly matched at this point.
the game they lost to pitt. was without Cory Dillion playing,
I know one guy doesen't make a team but it's tough to go
up against a great defence on the road without a running game
and compete. One thing's for sure, neither team wants to
have to be on the road for a championship showdown as fans
in both citys are quite rabid.....

Are you serious?

Yeah.

In my eyes, people like Tom Brady and Ben R. are way overrated. Hell who knows how many Super Bowls Trent Dilfer would have won had he stayed with the Ravens.. I even saw Tom Brady on one the NFL announcers Top 10 QB's of all time.....wtf.

Pittsburgh hasn't accomplished anything yet. The key will be how Ben handles the playoff pressure, and I'm betting it won't help him..

On paper, the patriots and steelers are even, but experience is WAY in favor of the Pats.

The Eagles, in my mind, are undoubtedly the most talented team in the NFL, and TO is what they needed to get over the NFC championship hump. But I wouldn't be surprised to see the Falcons give them a run in the playoffs.

In the end, the luck streak for the Pats will end and the Eagles will be the Champions.

Whew, officially my longest post ever...maybe.

i don't really watch football that much, but I saw the eagles game about a month ago where their QB ran around for 16 whole seconds then made like a 40 yard pass for a TD... then they made a 100 yard interception... they totally obliterated the other team

Yea that was one of the best plays of the year for any team.

Whoa...you go from who will be in the superbowl to "Tom Brady and Ben R. are way overrated."

I don't like Tom Brady myself, I also don't think he is one of the top 10 QBs of all time, but still. How can you say Pittsburgh hasn't accomplished anything yet? Where have you been? Ben has handled the pressure about as well as a rookie QB can, so far. If they get homefield advantage, the "playoff pressure" will be even less of a factor.

Lastly, look what Pittsburgh did to both the Pats and the Eagles...

The NFC east is a joke and the only challenges philly has had were from the AFC north: the steelers (who they lost to), and the ravens and browns (both of whom they barely beat). The only convincing win I have seen from philly was that one over green bay, the others they just kinda rolled over mediocre teams. Philly cannot run the ball effectively and it will hurt them against good teams like pitt and NE. Their inability to eat up clock with a small lead towards the end of the game with long drives was shown against the browns and the redskins and it will cost them. The D is playing well right now, but they have trouble stopping powerful run teams and it will do them in. I think it'll be pitt vs. NE in the afc championship and the winner of that will take the superbowl. Even if indy is scary with that offense, they won't be able to beat pitt or NE at home in january.

Go steelers!

Pats have been lucky so far?
Yeah I guess winning the Super Bowl and then going 12-1 the next season requires a lot of luck.

You put the Eagles on there but leave off the Colts and Chargers? Do you follow the NFL at all? lol

Colts and Chargers?

I thought about them for a second. Their upcoming game should prove interesting.

Though good, neither can realistically be considered the best team this year so far.

Philly is more talented than both the Colts and Bolts, they are winners who can pull out the close games.

That being said, I still voted for Stillers, although how much longer can the Bus hold up? Big Ben has to lose sometime, he's about due.

Spanked the Eagles, and beat the Pats. Dillon was a gametime scratch that game which seriously screwed things up. The Pats had 5 yards rushing, TOTAL. I really hate to make excuses, and I realize that's what I'm doing here, but if and when the two teams meet again, I expect a different outcome.

I actually think the Pats and Steelers are a push right now. The Steelers did beat the Pats eariler this season.
However like Mojoed said, Dillon was a game time scratch, the Patroits also lost Ty Law that game, meaning
they didn't have their #1 and #2 CB in, their #1 RB in, and their #1 WR in Branch. I realize injuries happen to
all teams, but these cannot just be discounted.

They both play very balanced games and have good defenses. If they meet up in the AFC Championship it will be
a very good game.

The steeler will choke, they always do. I'd be surprised if they make to the superbowl. Pat's lost to the steelers because of dillon being out as others have already mentioned.

PS, I picked steelers, as thats who I'd like to see win it.
