That's cool. I liked their last album (more before I started hearing it as an Apple ad) quite a bit.

Cool! Where do you live man? I try to make it to see them when are close enough in midwest maybe we can meet up? PM me if it ever comes up if you want

Anyone recently come across an awesome new piece of music that I should know about? My music collection has been quite stagnant as of late and I'm looking to branch out. No more than one suggestion per person and it has be to be recently new to you, not an oldy but goodie you listen to every single day.

I'll start the thread off

A world alone by Lorde (there are some acapella bits that really chill the bone)

Not the best new song, but since you like Lorde I thought you might like Karmin. Their cover of Chris Brown's Look at Me Now is pretty good.

Also, Guster's new album is pretty good:

You might like Madeline Peyroux, for example: "Smile"

I don't think I've heard her before. Good stuff. I'll definitely check out more later.

I used to hate female singers, but the last couple years, they've been the majority of my favorite finds. I think my dislike for the female voice comes from the 60-70s folk scene(A little too precious), and hard rock(screeching banshees). Newer artists just sound better to me. That's excluding the classic jazz singers, and fuckin' Patsy Cline. Whenever she comes on, I'm transfixed. I love her sound :^)
